Advice for People Planning to Come to Chacala This Winter

There are a couple of websites with photos, descriptions, and contact information for Chacala rentals. One lists the units I can offer help with for making reservations and deposits. These are affordable units with low-income, local owners, who don't have websites and don't speak English. Some are Techos de Mexico units.

The other website lists every rental unit , except one, in Chacala, also with photos, descriptions, and contact information. Many of the more expensive rentals are owned by gringos or non-local Mexicans.

If you are interested in seeing what's available in Chacala, this is a good place to start. You can contact almost all the owners directly, athough for some you need to speak Spanish. The more expensive places mostly have websites, which are listed and linked.

If you have questions, please write me at alatawah at gmail.com.

There is also a Gardener in Mexico blog that some people might find interesting.

And Chacala Nayarit, which has information about transportation, boat rides, services in Chacala, camping here, and so on. Most things a traveller/visitor would want to know about coming to Chacala.

The links on the right hand side, at the top of this page, includes links to Trini's Escuela de Espanol, and Chacala Taxi Services, and Chacala boat services (surfing, beachcombing, fishing, and whale watching)

Once again, thanks for your interesting insights. You are doing fine work in your adopted town and are important to the folks you know.
